Now, coming out of COVID-19, what is Canada’s direction when it comes to development, aid and cooperation work? 

Partnering with Cooperation Canada for the second time, Future of Good is thrilled to announce that we will cover the International Cooperation Futures Festival to highlight lessons and insights on how Canadian and global changemakers can reimagine international cooperation and humanitarian aid. 

Cooperation Canada is zooming in on Canada’s role in global aid by hosting the festival, taking place on the unceded and unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation, colonially known as Ottawa, Canada on October 17-20, 2022. The festival will explore new initiatives, solutions, and the barriers in the global cooperation sector, and how to advance aid and development post-COVID – and will take place in person, for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The international aid sector is changing faster than ever. With multiple crises in need of attention, organizations and global leaders are seeking ways to collaborate and expand their efforts. And with renewed calls for localization, decolonization, and working with an anti-racism lens, global aid will need to respond — or risk irrelevance.
