Canadian Aid and Global Co-operation

Canada’s aid and international cooperation system is at a crossroads. On one hand, there is enormous potential for Canada’s global leadership to flourish in a number of areas, including feminist foreign policy, climate finance, Islamic finance, reconciliation, maternal health, and Agenda 2030. On the other hand, civil society organizations working in aid and global cooperation are and have been stretched for many years due to inconsistent funding, ineffective grants and contributions processes, pressures to address systemic racism and localization, and more. Future of Good will cover progress and report on stories on the government and civil society initiatives, partnerships, news, and innovative solutions from across Canada’s aid and global cooperation ecosystem, both from within the country and from the Global South. This fellowship is made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of CARE Canada, CECI, IDIF, World Vision Canada, Save the Children Canada, MEDA, Plan International Canada, WUSC – EUMC and The Canadian Red Cross.
