It is with great excitement that I announce that Carol Steuri has joined the Future of Good team.
Carol Steuri joins our team as Director of Operations. She has 16 years of experience in innovation, strategy, and communications with a strong commitment to social and environmental justice. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of Green Communities Canada, a national association of community-based ENGOs. She also sits on the board of the Canadian Centre for Women’s Empowerment, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering domestic violence and economic abuse survivors. She worked in Switzerland for many years as a consultant advising social entrepreneurs on their scale-up strategies and impact measurement. In the earlier part of her career, she managed the Dove brand at Unilever in Canada and the U.S.
Carol’s mission is to set a sustainable pace for an ambitious organization; build operational capacity for change and growth; nurture a culture that is bold and daring, yet serene and fulfilling; and streamline our day-to-day decision-making, workflow and processes. Carol will take-on the day-to-day operational management of Future of Good, including people, culture, financial planning, impact management, and annual planning and integration of various activities within the organization.
When I asked Carol how she believes Future of Good can enrich the work and lives of changemakers across the country, she said, “At this critical time for people and planet, insights and thoughtful commentary can inspire and motivate others to take meaningful steps towards action. Canada has some big issues to tackle, and creating trusted spaces for learning are essential to accelerating a change-making culture.”
Since our launch in January 2019, Future of Good has quickly become an essential source of stories, analysis, and commentary to make sense of a sector and society in transition. Future of Good’s mission is to enrich changemakers everyday with smart coverage of the social impact world. Every week, thousands of changemakers from the nonprofit, co-operative, corporate, social enterprise, philanthropic, social finance, academic, and public sectors subscribe to our content, attend events and engage with a pan-Canadian peer community.
We know that in the midst of a pandemic, we are extremely fortunate to be growing our team. A huge thank you to our members, partners, impact investors and readers for your confidence in Future of Good as an essential professional resource for you and your team.
Please join me in welcoming Carol as she begins her role on September 7.
