Overview
Only 33 per cent of non-profit workers thrive, while 36 per cent report poor well-being, with 13 per cent severely struggling. Burnout affects over one-third of the workforce, particularly young, entry-level, and frontline staff. Despite exhaustion, people report high job satisfaction and commitment to impact. This session explores this paradox and asks how individuals and teams can create environments where well-being is part of everyday culture.
We’ll go beyond yoga breaks and wellness stipends, focusing on interpersonal micropractices that build resilience and trust, such as peer check-ins, boundaries around urgency, and reframing emotional labor. Using data from the Changemaker Wellbeing Index, this symposium will highlight changemakers’ lived experience, showing how small actions can transform personal and team well-being.
