Benevity appoints new CEO

Benevity, which develops donation, volunteerism and grantmaking software, has named Soraya Alexander its new Chief Executive Officer, effective Nov.1.

She will succeed Christopher Maloof, who will transition to Chair of the Calgary company’s board of directors.

The company described Alexander as a proven leader with a track record of driving innovation and growth at GoFundMe, where she served as COO.

Her appointment follows Benevity’s recent launch of its Enterprise Impact Platform and expansion of global donor-advised fund services.
