Held June 16-17, 2025

MaRs Discovery District, Toronto

Investing in our Future

The inaugural Social Finance Forum was hosted at MaRS Discovery District as an exploration of what was possible if Canada invested in impact. This year, we returned to where it all began—not to revisit the past, but to chart the next phase of Canada’s journey in impact-focused investing.

Investing in Our Future was both a question and a call to action. In the face of economic volatility, market uncertainty, and escalating political tensions—including annexation threats from our closest neighbour—how can we grow Canada’s economic systems with purpose, not isolation? And how can we mobilize capital not just to protect what we have, but to build what the future requires of us?

This year, the 2025 Social Finance Forum, Canada’s premier conference on impact finance and investing did not shy away from the conversation. For two powerful days, we steered the conversation between capital managers, ecosystem shapers, business, and new-to-the-impact asset influencers—like philanthropists, family offices, and wealth advisors—for an urgent and distinctly Canadian conversation about resilience, regeneration, and results.

Together, we’ll examined six pivotal futures for Canada: Indigenous, Equity, Climate, Food, Housing, and Main Streets — and what it takes to capitalize them— together.
