Climate lobby asks Canadians to send Valentine’s postcards to senators and MPs

The Citizens’ Climate Lobby is urging Canadians to send climate-loving postcards to Ottawa this Valentine’s Day to pressure politicians to pass the Climate-Aligned Finance Act.

Submitted in 2022 by Senator Rosa Galvez, the act would require financial institutions to align their investments with Canada’s Climate goals.

The Act is still pending.

This is the sixth time the advocacy organization has campaigned for change using postcards sent to senators and MPs.

The group says Canadians should follow basic rules, including being fact-based and empathetic.
