I am thrilled to announce Jeff Tribe has joined the Future of Good team as our workforce development and volunteerism journalist. 

Jeff’s mission is to cover a range of perspectives, stories, and angles that offer insights and analysis on the solutions, research and lived experiences of the cascading and intersectional effects of the changing nature of work and volunteering in communities across Canada.

Future of Good has quickly become an essential professional resource for changemakers to make a more significant difference at work and in their careers. 

Jeff commits to going deeper into the proven methods to build and retain high-performing teams as organizations swim against the tide of post-COVID isolation, work hybridization, existential dread, and increased polarization and disinformation.

“I’m thrilled with the opportunity for professional and personal growth while contributing to an organization dedicated to meaningful coverage of essential and under-reported sectors of society,” Tribe said.

Jeff’s respect for the critical nature of volunteerism includes personal experience as a multi-sport youth coach. He is a career journalist and storyteller from weekly, tri-weekly and daily newsrooms and a freelancer for various print and online publications. He has embraced video as a communications medium, including acting as writer/interviewer/videographer for the documentary Feeding Canada, investigating the sacrifices temporary foreign migrant workers made and the dangers they faced during COVID-19.

Jeff is consistently inspired and challenged to fairly and accurately share diverse and inclusive stories. His preferred approach is to engage readers in an immersive and informative journey, combining a visceral sense of the subject with enhanced understanding.

“I look forward to building respectful and productive relationships within the volunteer and non-profit communities,” Tribe said.

Jeff is excited to explore the nuanced nature of those realities and highlight innovative approaches and solutions resilient Canadian changemakers continue to develop.
