Avanthika Anand joins Future of Good as News and Features Writer

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I’m excited to announce that Avanthika Anand has joined the Future of Good team of journalists.

Avanthika joins us as a news and features writer, working closely with our editorial team to cover all things social impact — from tech for good and the growing social enterprise movement to the future of philanthropy and how frontline social services are transforming.

Avanthika is a recent graduate of Carleton University’s bachelor of journalism program.  Through her studies, Avanthika fell in love with the art of storytelling through print, audio and video. A self-proclaimed ‘people-person’, Avanthika believes she can actively love the people who have not received as much love as her in this lifetime through the journalism she does. Avanthika came to Canada four years ago as an international student, after having lived in three countries through the (short) course of her life. She hopes to continue to learn and grow as a global citizen, through working with Future of Good.

Since our launch in January 2019, Future of Good has quickly become an essential source of stories, analysis, and commentary to make sense of a sector and society in transition. Future of Good’s mission is to enrich changemakers everyday with smart coverage of the social impact world. Every week, thousands of changemakers from the non-profit, co-operative, corporate, social enterprise, philanthropic, social finance, academic, and public sectors subscribe to our content, attend events and engage with a pan-Canadian peer community.

It’s not lost on our team that we’re incredibly fortunate to be expanding our team in the midst of a pandemic. That’s thanks to you — our readers, members, partners and investors. Thank you for your confidence in Future of Good as an essential source of information on the rapidly changing world of social impact.

Please join me in welcoming Avanthika to the Future of Good team as she starts in her role this week!
