Humber Polytechnic suspends International Development graduate program
The International Development graduate program at Humber Polytechnic in Toronto will be suspended this fall, according to a post by the program co-ordinator Susan MacGregor.
“The current cohort of students may be the last group,” MacGregor said, adding that she will also be leaving Humber at the end of June.
The post did not say why the program will be axed, nor did it say if the program would potentially return.
Humber Polytechnic is also home to an International Development Institute, which promotes education, capacity-building, and technical training in more than 10 countries across Africa, Asia, and South America.
Last year, Humber Polytechnic suspended several media courses, including a radio broadcasting diploma, a public relations advanced diploma, and a film and multiplatform storytelling diploma, due to “low enrollment.”
Future of Good contacted both the school and MacGregor for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.
