McConnell Foundation ending its Montreal Strategy

The McConnell Foundation is sunsetting its Montreal Strategy after five years of supporting local organizations.

As a result, the Montreal funding portal will not reopen, and no new campaigns will be supported. Current partners and agreements will not be affected.

In a press release, the foundation said the decision comes as its “strategy evolves.”

The Montreal Strategy was created to focus the foundation’s support on local organizations addressing community needs, funding capital campaigns, revitalizing heritage buildings for social use and strengthening community-driven initiatives.

The foundation said it plans to continue supporting Montreal non-profits through other funding streams.
