B.C. non-profits can now apply for revamped Inclusive Communities Grant program
The B.C. government is launching a revamped grant program aimed at supporting community-led projects that promote inclusion, racial equity and multicultural understanding.
The B.C. Inclusive Communities Grants Program (BC-ICG) will provide up to $5,000 per project, with $300,000 set aside to support about 60 projects across the province.
About 34 per cent of B.C.’s population living in private households identified as a visible minority, according to the 2021 Census.
In Canada, 45 per cent of racialized Canadians aged 15 years and older reported they faced racism and discrimination between 2019 and 2024.
The program was previously called the B.C. Multiculturalism and Anti‑Racism Grants Program, but after undergoing a refresh, the new program focuses on community‑led projects that advance racial equity and meaningful participation.
Applications are open until Oct. 19, 2026.
