Community Resilience Fund launched for Tumbler Ridge victims

The Northeast BC Community Foundation has launched a community resilience fund to support the victims of a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C.

Donors are invited to give directly to the new fund, which will be steered by the community foundation to support “long-term, community-guided healing.”

The Tumbler Ridge Parent Advisory Committee has also collaborated with local organizations to launch a GoFundMe for the community, which has so far raised more than $300,000.

Tuesday’s shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School took the lives of several people, including an educator and several of the school’s students. Others are being treated for injuries.
